The Hawke's Bay Power Consumers' Trust (HBPCT) has taken on a new look, with a new logo and a redeveloped website.
Chairwoman Diana Kirton said the trust had upgraded its website to provide easier access to information for the public - and to be more compatible with mobile phone viewing.
"With an increasing number of people seeking information through the internet, it was important that we undertook these steps.
"The trust's website had been embedded in the Unison site for a number of years. It was now timely to have it stand on its own, but link to Unison where appropriate.
"Trustees will use the website as a means of communicating with consumers and consulting with them on matters such as dividend distribution and future use of trust funds."
HBPCT owns the Hastings-based electricity distributor Unison Networks Limited and Kirton said the new handshake logo represented the partnership the trust has with the power consumers of Hawke's Bay, as well as with Unison.
"It is hoped that these developments will help people better understand the connection between power consumers, the trust and Unison."
To top off a busy year, HBPCT will next month host the Energy Trusts of New Zealand (ETNZ) conference, to be held at the Napier War Memorial Conference Centre on the November 1 and November 2.
"This is the first time an ETNZ conference has been held in Hawke's Bay. Up to 100 representatives from lines company trusts around New Zealand are expected to attend the event. The key focus of presentations will be the Electricity Pricing Review that is currently being carried out by the Government."
