Review of Ownership

Unison is wholly owned by the Hawke’s Bay Power Consumers’ Trust who hold all the shares on behalf of Hawke’s Bay power consumers connected to Unison’s network. Every five years, the Trustees review the ownership of shares in Unison.

2018 Review of Ownership
The Trustees have received an in-depth report from the Directors of Unison that sets out proposals & available options for future ownership of the shares in the company.

This report is based on a full review of the company carried out by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) & is now available on the website or during business hours at:

Public submissions on the Ownership Review
Written submissions on the Directors’ Report to the Trustees were invited and closed Wednesday, 14 February 2018, 4.00 pm.

Hard copies of the submissions were available on Friday 16 February 2018 at Unison Networks, Brown Webb Richardson, and the five libraries in the Hastings and Napier districts. An electronic version is available now below.

A public meeting to hear submissions was held on Friday 9 March at 10.00 am at the Napier Conference Centre. Those who made a submission had the opportunity to speak in support of their submission.
